About mr. white...
I currently work as a fourth grade teacher living in Fort Washington, Pennsylvania. I've been teaching for eight years, two of which I spent at the primary level and six in the intermediate level. If I’ve learned anything over that period of time as a professional it’s that I must constantly evolve as an instructor and learner. Kids differ in how they learn, what they care about learning, what they bring to the learning experience, and their speed of learning. Therefore it’s the educators’ job to connect every student to the learning process in the classroom. As I reflect back on those eight years, it becomes clear that the integration of technology in my practice has changed how I view the learning process.

During my years as a teacher when I infused technology into my instruction, I experienced students who were more motivated, engaged and passionate about their work. To learn well, kids need to be challenged, but what is challenging for one student may not be challenging for another. In addition, every child needs to experience success and therefore learning needs to fit the student. Technology has helped provide me with the tools to create authentic, effective instruction in a collaborative, engaging learning environment. Through my passion for technology and a desire to help other educators integrate technology, I've developed into a curriculum leader in my building.
